🫁 About Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

What is hyperbaric oxygen therapy?

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) involves breathing concentrated oxygen in a pressurized chamber. The increased pressure allows your blood plasma to carry significantly more oxygen to your tissues, promoting healing, reducing inflammation, and supporting cellular repair.

HBOT has been used in medical settings for decades to treat conditions like wound healing, carbon monoxide poisoning, and decompression sickness. More recently, research has shown promising results for longevity, recovery, cognitive function, and overall wellness.

What does 2.0 ATA mean?

ATA stands for "Atmospheres Absolute"—a measurement of pressure.

  • 1.0 ATA = Normal atmospheric pressure at sea level
  • 2.0 ATA = Double the pressure of sea level (100% increase)

2.0 ATA is the research-grade standard used in the majority of clinical studies showing therapeutic benefits. This pressure level allows for maximum oxygen saturation in your blood plasma, which is key to HBOT's effectiveness.

Why is 2.0 ATA pressure important?

Most groundbreaking HBOT research—including studies on telomere lengthening, brain injury recovery, and cellular repair—uses 2.0 ATA protocols. This pressure level:

  • Achieves 10-15x more dissolved oxygen in blood plasma
  • Matches clinical and hospital standards
  • Triggers biological mechanisms that promote healing
  • Provides research-backed therapeutic results

Lower pressure chambers (1.3 or 1.5 ATA) may offer some benefits, but they don't match the protocols used in scientific research.

Is HBOT safe?

Yes, when used properly. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been used safely in medical settings for over 50 years. Our chambers are designed with multiple safety features including:

  • Pressure relief valves
  • Real-time monitoring systems
  • Emergency depressurization
  • Medical-grade construction standards

As with any health intervention, we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before starting HBOT, especially if you have specific medical conditions.

Who should NOT use HBOT?

HBOT is not recommended for individuals with:

  • Untreated pneumothorax (collapsed lung)
  • Certain types of lung disease
  • Recent ear surgery or ear infections
  • High fever
  • Certain chemotherapy medications (timing matters)

Pregnant women should consult their doctor before using HBOT.

If you have any medical conditions or concerns, please speak with your healthcare provider before purchasing or using a hyperbaric chamber.

Do I need a prescription to buy a hyperbaric chamber?

No. In the United States, home hyperbaric chambers operating at 2.0 ATA or below do not require a prescription. Our chambers are designed specifically for home use and personal wellness.

🏠 About Our Chambers

What's the difference between hard shell and soft shell chambers?

Hard Shell Chambers:

  • Rigid construction (steel, acrylic, composite materials)
  • Can reach 2.0 ATA (research-grade pressure)
  • More durable and longer-lasting
  • Higher therapeutic potential
  • Most LongevityON chambers are hard shell

Soft Shell Chambers:

  • Inflatable, portable design
  • Typically limited to 1.3 ATA
  • More affordable and portable
  • We offer one select soft shell 2.0 ATA chamber for those seeking portability with research-grade pressure

We focus on 2.0 ATA chambers (both hard and soft shell) because we're committed to providing research-grade therapeutic results.

Where are your chambers manufactured?

Our chambers are sourced from trusted manufacturers with decades of experience in hyperbaric oxygen technology. Quality control, safety standards, and therapeutic effectiveness are our top priorities.

Every chamber meets rigorous safety requirements and is backed by LongevityON's commitment to excellence and customer support.

What's included with my chamber purchase?

Each chamber includes:

  • ✅ Complete chamber unit (fully assembled or with assembly support)
  • ✅ Oxygen concentrator (when required for the model)
  • ✅ User manual and safety guidelines
  • ✅ Setup and installation support
  • ✅ Warranty coverage (varies by model)
  • ✅ Access to our customer support team

Specific inclusions may vary by model. Contact us for detailed specifications on your chosen chamber.

How long do sessions last?

Typical HBOT sessions last 60-90 minutes. This matches the protocols used in most research studies.

Many people use their chamber:

  • 5x per week for intensive protocols
  • 3x per week for maintenance and wellness
  • Daily during recovery from injury or illness

Session frequency and duration should be tailored to your individual goals and health status.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on your goals:

For recovery or specific health goals: Most research protocols use 40-60 sessions over 8-12 weeks.

For longevity and maintenance: Ongoing use (2-5 sessions per week indefinitely).

For acute injury or illness: Intensive protocols (daily sessions) until improvement, then maintenance.

The beauty of owning a home chamber is flexibility—you can follow research protocols or create a schedule that works for your lifestyle.

💰 Pricing & Financing

Why are your chambers more affordable than other brands?

We believe research-grade HBOT shouldn't be locked behind excessive markups. Many brands charge $60,000-$85,000+ for chambers that are manufactured overseas and marked up 100-200%.

Our approach:

  • Source directly from trusted manufacturers
  • Eliminate unnecessary middlemen
  • Pass savings to our customers
  • Focus on fair pricing, not maximum profit

You get the same quality at honest prices. That's our commitment.

👤 About LongevityON

Who is behind LongevityON?

LongevityON was founded by Sergei, a lifelong athlete and wellness specialist with over 40 years of experience in human performance optimization.

Sergei's background spans elite competitive sports (Olympic canoe, American football, martial arts) and nearly 40 years as a certified trainer. For the past 20 years, he has worked as a wellness specialist with celebrities and high-profile clients. He has also spent 25 years studying mind-body connection and the past five years focused intensively on longevity and biological age reversal research.

In 2024, after surviving a near-fatal rattlesnake bite that spiked his biological age to 80, Sergei applied his decades of knowledge to create a recovery protocol using hormetic training, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, red light therapy, sauna, and cold plunge. The result: full recovery and a biological age of 30 at 58 years old—28 years younger than his chronological age.

Inspired by his own results and a lifetime of helping others, Sergei founded LongevityON to make research-grade longevity tools accessible at honest prices.

How do you measure biological age?

Biological age is assessed through a combination of functional fitness tests that measure key markers of health and longevity. Our assessment includes 10 evidence-based tests:

  1. Dead hang duration or dynamometer (grip strength)
  2. Balance test (eyes closed, single leg)
  3. Push-up capacity
  4. Sit-to-stand test (30 seconds)
  5. Flexibility (sit-and-reach)
  6. Resting heart rate
  7. VO2 max and recovery heart rate (step test)
  8. Waist-to-height ratio
  9. Sit-and-rise test
  10. Plank hold (core strength)

These tests are based on research showing strong correlations between physical performance and longevity. The better you perform across these metrics, the "younger" your biological age.
